PORTRAIT DOLL ORDER FORM

Portrait dolls are special because they capture someones expression for all eternity. They can be wonderful heirlooms to pass from generation to generation or the means by which you put yourself in a century gone by. In a dome, a room-box, or a dollhouse, a portrait doll is something that will be treasured forever. To make that special doll for you I must insist on good photos showing all sides of the face (at least 5 angles) and 2 full length photos showing the front and side view. The head shots should be at least the size of a quarter. My portraits are only as good as the photos you send. It is particulary important that you capture the facial expression you want on the doll in all the views you send. The more photos you send, the better. They will all be returned to you. If you wear bangs, it is important that you send extra photos showing what you look like with your hair brushed or held away from your forehead. If you wear a beard, please try to enclose a photo of you when you did not wear one.

My portrait dolls are made of porcelain, with china painted faces. The cloth bodies are fully poseable with heads that turn. The hands can be permanently posed in any position you want. Please indicate this and the body pose on the order form. All dolls are 1/12 scale (1 inch = 1 foot). This means that a 6 foot man would be a 6 inch doll. A 3 foot toddler would be 3 inches tall. At this time I do not do children under 3 feet tall.

All costumes are researched and as authentic as possible. If you know what costume you want, please give me as many details as you can on the order form below. Also, please send photos or a xerox copy of the costume. If you don't know what you want you can also search the web for costume ideas and e-mail me the URL when you find what you are looking for. Portrait dolls are also available undressed for those of you who prefer to make your own costumes.

Since my portrait dolls are one-of-a-kind dolls, they take a good bit longer to make than my regular dollhouse dolls. Orders may take up to 6 months, depending on the number of orders ahead of yours. I will try to give you some idea at the time of the order. Most portrait dolls cost $495.00 dressed and $425.00 undressed. Very elaborate costumes may cost more. I should be able to determine this from your description. A non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is required for each doll. The balance shall be remitted just prior to the doll being sent. I will e-mail you when it is ready. To order, please fill out the order form as fully as possible. Shipping: Within the Continental US: $12.60 for the first portrait doll and $6.00 for each additional Portrait doll. This price includes priority mail and insurance. I will have to quote you the cost of shipping for other combinations with a portrait doll.
Outside the Continental US: I will send a quote with the reservation confirmation. It will include the cost of insurance.

***Due to the one-of-a-kind nature of the doll, a non-refundable deposit of $250.00 is required for each doll. When I e-mail your reservation confirmation I will also send the address where you should mail your check. All checks should be made out to Debbie L. Olsen and must be in US Dollars. Should you be dissatisfied with your doll, every effort will be made to remedy the situation.
