Very informative and historical.
My applause to all the people who put together this book. This book brought back so many memories of everything that has happened in the last 30 years of One Life to Live. This book also has very good photos and a very informative list of characters and the actors who played them.

A Scrapbook of treasured memories!
Kudos to Gary Warner and the people who assisted him, for his wonderful portrayal of One Life to Live, it’s cast and it’s characters in his latest book, "One Life to Live: Thirty years of memories." Brimming with large, bright photos, storyline memories, behind the scenes information, and much more, this scrapbook is sure to delight OLTL fans. What a huge undertaking, as well as a major accomplishment to be able to compress 30 years of memories into one book!

Also, kudos to Amazon.com for it’s quick shipment of the book. I received my copy within 2 days of ordering.

30 Years of Television's Most Innovative Daytime Drama
OLTL: 30 Years of Memories provides hundreds of photos, and yearly reviews that will bring back many memories for long-time fans of the show, but we'll have to wait for a more in-depth analysis of daytime's most literate drama. OLTL has long been noted for it's daring storylines from 1968's story of a young black woman passing for white (even viewers were led to believe she was white) and the early 70's story of teenage drug addiction, to the 90's stories of a gay teenager coming out in a homophobic world and the gang rape of a young college student. All these stories were told with an unflinching raw realism that was riveting to behold, and unusual among the typical melodrama of the other daytime shows. For 30 years OLTL has been fully integrated, including Blacks, Hispanics, Jews, and even Asians in a genre that has more often than not been a haven for white WASPs. The daring drama attracted an acclaimed novelist to headwrite the show for much of the 1990's. 30 Years of Memories only scratches the surface of OLTL's incredible contribution to the world of daytime drama. Indeed, although this book will surely please many fans, OLTL's unique voice will have wait to be heard in a more compelling tome.

This enormous volume should be well received by OLTL fans.
Unexptectedly huge in size and overall encompassing the general backstory of a show which deserves more attention than it has received, this ONcE in a LIFEtime book ultimately fails to capture the true essence of Llanview and its rich history--a history full of some of the most compelling contemporary drama ever to be seen on television (or anywhere else, for that matter).

Don't let the book's enormity fool you: although it contains a generous pictorial ensemble, the book comes off as more (glitzy) style than substance, which is completely opposite of the greatly substantial and stylishly subtle drama series that is ONE LIFE TO LIVE.

Nevertheless, Hyperion has produced a book most OLTL fans thought would never come into fruition, and for that alone the ABC-affiliated publishing house deserves a thousand kudos. Gary Warner's latest edition should be well received by OLTL fans all over.

OLTL Thirty Years of Memoryies
I eagerly await this book from Mr Warner. What took him so long? If his book is like AMC and GH's scrapbooks this is a must for your soap library. I salute you Mr Warner for making us, the fans, your loyal readers. You are the William Shakespere of Day Time

I eagerly await this book!
Gary Warner's first two books (ALL MY CHILDREN & GENERAL HOSPITAL) are the most entertaining soap opera books I have in my collection. He treats the subject matter with a stylish flair that hasn't been available before. No doubt this salute to ONE LIFE TO LIVE will continue the tradition.

One Life To Live completes soap trilogy
I eagerly await the publication of this book about ABC soap opera ONE LIFE TO LIVE. If it is anything like the author's first two books (on ALL MY CHILDREN and GENERAL HOSPITAL) then it promises to be outstanding. Those books are regarded by soap fans on the internet as the source authority. The book are filled with wonderful photos and amazingly interesting storyline memories.
